All of the log homes you see were hand-crafted by Walden Log Homes, using reclaimed timbers that were hand-hewn over 100 years ago. Some are re-erected exactly "as-found" by owners who wanted every ounce of authenticity they could reclaim. Literally. Some wanted the feel of an original log home, from the adz marks on the logs to an old wooden peg, but with a more modern floor plan. Some of these homes have open kitchens and vaulted great rooms. Some have the original footprint, with off-centered windows and doors. But all of them are crafted with salvaged, hand-hewn logs, and 'look the way a log home is supposed to look.'
